Meet the Growing Curiosity Guides

Roselin Rodriguez
Lead Guide, Spanish Teacher
Roselin (Rosie) joined Growing Curiosity in 2024, drawn by her admiration for an educational approach that fosters independence, respect, and meaningful growth in every child. Originally from Venezuela, she studied Human Resources, a field she continues to value, but has also connected with another vocation: teaching. Working with children has allowed her to combine her interpersonal skills with her desire to help build a more empathetic and conscious world. She currently teaches a Spanish class once a week, sharing not only the language but also her culture. Rosie is committed to continuing her growth and learning within this inspiring educational philosophy, and is starting her Montessori Lead Guide training in Fall of 2025.

Janeth Rodriguez
School Director, Guide
Originally from Venezuela, Janeth is Rosie’s sister and a native Spanish speaker. She teaches Art at GC and supports the Spanish language area as well. Although she graduated with a law degree, her love for working with children began much earlier—through volunteer work in early childhood programs during high school. What she loves most about Montessori is the emphasis on wonder, independence, and learning through real-life experiences. She feels grateful every day to see the world through the eyes of the children.

Breana Sylvester
Founder, Board Liaison
Our former school director, Dr. Breana Sylvester, has taught in a variety of settings and worked with learners ages 2 to adult. She has a Masters in teaching, and a doctorate in Educational Psychology, and an Early Childhood Montessori Certificate from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies. Her favorite parts of teaching in the Montessori environment are the watching children’s social abilities grow, and helping children develop a lifelong love of learning. Breana is committed to growing thriving learning communities, where parents feel welcomed, heard, and involved in their children’s school lives. Breana starts graduate school for Speech-Language Pathology in Fall of 2025 in order to further support young children’s development.
