About Us: Growing Curiosity Community School
Our Story
Growing Curiosity’s mission is to provide an affordable quality Montessori preschool program with a focus on physical and social development, anti-bias education, and an appreciation for nature. Founded in 2015, we believe Montessori education should be inclusive, affordable, and accessible to all. Growing Curiosity has adopted an anti-bias educational approach with age-appropriate opportunities for children to learn about caring and respect for people who are similar to and different from themselves.
Our Guides
Meet our amazing team of guides. We use a respectful approach and honor the individual needs of each child. Each of our guides has extensive childcare experience, and lead guides are Montessori certified or actively pursuing certification.
Schedule & Calendar
We follow the AISD school calendar. Additionally, we offer summer camp every July. Our day begins at 8 AM. Upon arrival, children have the opportunity to connect with friends and teachers outdoors, running and exploring our large backyard play space. Children then complete a Montessori work cycle, and we eat lunch together spread out under our shaded outdoor space. Then children nap inside, followed by free play, art, and music outside until pickup. We are open until 5:00 pm.
Enrollment
We serve children ages 2.5-6 years, and have preK-3 through Kindergarten in one multi-age classroom. There are no more than 24 students enrolled at any time, and we never have over a 10:1 student to teacher ratio. Please note that we are not licensed for diapers. We require all CDC recommended vaccinations prior to the first day of school. We follow the AISD calendar, and offer a summer camp. Students attend five days a week, and we offer full day, half day, and 3/4 day enrollment.
